Dividend Portfolio Builder (dividendportfoliobuilder.com) is a free tool that helps investors estimate long-term dividend reinvestment (DRIP) portfolio growth. We do not sell investment advice, financial products, or personal data.

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

Email address — if you voluntarily submit it to save your portfolio. We use it solely as the key to store and retrieve the portfolio you built, so you can load it again on a later visit. We do not send you email, and we never sell or share your address.
Ticker symbols & portfolio inputs — entered in the calculator and used to compute your projections. If you save a portfolio by submitting your email, these inputs are stored on our server linked to that email address so the portfolio can be recalled later. If you do not submit an email, they are processed and discarded.
Feedback ratings — optional thumbs-up/thumbs-down ratings and comments you submit to help us improve accuracy. These are stored anonymously without any personally identifying information.
Usage data — standard web server logs (page views, referrer, browser type, IP address) retained for up to 30 days for security and performance monitoring.

How we use your information

To store the portfolio you saved and return it when you enter the same email
To improve the accuracy of dividend data and projections
To operate, maintain, and improve the site
To detect and prevent abuse or fraud

We do not use your data for advertising targeting, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

Third-party services

Google AdSense — displays advertisements on this site. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic — ticker data (stock symbols only, no personal data) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to retrieve dividend yield and growth estimates. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We do not set our own tracking cookies. Third-party services (Google AdSense) may set cookies in accordance with their own policies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Data retention

Email addresses are retained until you request deletion. Feedback responses are retained indefinitely in anonymized form. Server logs are purged after 30 days.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your email from our database at any time by contacting us. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including access, rectification, and portability of your personal data.
